if you’ve already been told what not to do, if you’ve been already given a precaution ahead of time, if you’ve already been given advice beforehand, and if you’ve already heard a number of stories of testimonies of people’s experience heading down that path, why do you still do it? do you want to feel the pain in your own skin? do you wanna be all tough, going through all that ‘hard stuff’?

everything is simple yet we make is so complicated.
adam and eve were told, ‘hey, don’t eat from that tree.’ and what did they do? they ate from that tree. it’s like, T_T. really? because they chose to disobey, look at our world now. do you think, that if they knew all this was gonna happen, they would still do it? that all this crap and junk would come in the world and people would suffer? but they didnt. but they were told, you shall surely die.

im just saying that us, people of the 21st century, we’re more prepared. we got equipment. we got the Bible- stories and examples of people who did stuff and the reactions and consequences that came along with that, and we got history too. i mean, i dont know about you, with all these back ups and stuff to refer to, is it really necessary for us to experience again what they already went through?

For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it. (Matthew 7:14)

above all things, we got the holy spirit guys. so i dont know. we’re like fully loaded with equipment and what not. we got everything we need. so what else. the rest is up to us.

i’m just gonna copy and paste these verses again and i want you guys to read them!

The LORD was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.(Genesis 39:2)

So Joseph found favor in his sight and became his personal servant; and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he owned he put in his charge. (Genesis 39:4)

It came about that from the time he made him overseer in his house and over all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house on account of Joseph; thus the LORD’S blessing was upon all that he owned, in the house and in the field. (Genesis 39:5)

But the LORD was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the chief jailer. (Genesis 39:21)

The chief jailer did not supervise anything under Joseph’s charge because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made to prosper. (Genesis 39:23)

Then Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is a divine spirit?” (Genesis 41:38)

Thus Joseph stored up grain in great abundance like the sand of the sea, until he stopped measuring it, for it was beyond measure. (Genesis 41:49)

there’s so many of us that look up to other people and sigh at how amazing their life is and how amazing they are and we sit there and wish that we could just be like them and all that jazz. and we go around thinking that we could never do those things, like all these people in the bible and all these ‘great christian legends’.

truth is though, we could do the same or even greater. these people are just examples and testimonies and witnesses that every single human being has it in them. a lame life is not for us. john 10:10 says ‘the thief comes to kill steal and destroy, but i have come to give you life, and life abundantly.’ so as i read these stories of joseph, it gives me encouragement. because the holy spirit is talking to me through these verses, and says, “hey. you could the same. yeah, you’re life is not suppose to mirror joseph’s or anyone else’s. it’s just showing you that you have it in you to do great things to bless other people.”

your Father is the God of infinite possibilities.

just everything about him and his life and everything just fascinates me.
he’s like my role model; the person im looking up to right now in the bible. it’s not just joseph though. it’s practically everyone that has ever existed that chose to live their life for God. i love how God can really make a no one into a someone, how He can turn a life of nothing into something and how he can just fill your life with His goodness and abudnance and everything and augh. i LOVE IT. like look at these verses!!

how are all of you? seriously, how are you? anything great, wonderful thing happening in your life that you’d like to share? anything God has given you that you have openly received? any praises you’d like to give the Lord? talk to me! i’m here. any burden you’d like to share with me? i’m here to listen.

as for me, life is busy and im letting it shake me. i’ll get by with Him holding my hands. i know that.

i am such a frustrated, no peace of mind person right now.
my mind is a clutter. i constantly stomp my feet. just a while ago i screamed at my dad. i always scream at my sisters. i always handle everything so roughly. i show up to worship with a gloomy face. i say things i dont mean. i hate it. i hate it.

i am being impatient.
i am waiting for God’s answer right now, just a little something something, and since i havent received it yet, i get mad and i just.

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

You will find rest for your soul.

you dont like what you’re doing? dont like what you’re becoming? dont like the thoughts that are going through your brain and all that junk?
dont hate yourself for it. dont beat yourself. i mean, that’s what i do constantly. especially when im tired and burned out and just frustrated. but you cant beat up an apple tree for being an apple tree. if you dont want it to be an apple true no more, you gotta unpluck it from its root, and plant a new seed.

same thing with everything in this life especially ourselves. you gotta talk with God and find out what the root of all your whatevers are. cuz nothing grows without a seed. whatever was sown in you was either sown by drops of thoughts by the devil, words of others, something you heard or seen from the media, or just something you thought up yourself. but if you dont want it growing in you, you gotta unpluck it. cut it out. dont let the weeds overgrow you.

i really do find the whole reaping what you sowing thing such an amazing equation, if you wish to call it that. everything in this world started from a seed that was planted. seeds of ideas seeds of words seeds of thoughts seeds of images, whatever. so just take heed of what things or people are planting in you and what you’re planting in others.

Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap, because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. (Galatians 6:7-8)

my english class were watching ‘bowling columbine’ by michael moore the other day, cuz we’re gonna do a unit on documentaries, and uh, yeah, it’s about like violence in america and how they can access a gun easily there and how people keep some at home for safety reasons and whatever

and im like
as a filipino indonesian canadian
the only weapon i’ma keep at home
is a durian.

like come on. look at that little devil. i can easily knock down a hundred men with that.

*sighs* im just being silly. but anyways, when it comes to safety, we all know who we’re gonna keep as our refuge and our strength right?? well i hope you guys all know anyways… :D

i've probably told you guys before that i'm scared as heck about my future

like right now, i’m in grade 11, and there’s all sorts of pressure in my mind as to what i’m gonna do after i graduate and where i’m heading to and omg what should i do and it’s just plain old frustrating. these worries circle my mind constantly and im at unease. it sucks.

Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, surely I will help you,
Surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand,
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’
(Isaiah 41:10, 13)

so if you’re kinda going through the same situation as i am, then just keep that verse close to your heart. it really hit mine. i mean God reminds me not to ‘look anxiously about me.’ like i always do. i really do. i sit there and i look around and think that hey these people know where they’re going and they’re smart and they have the wits and then there’s me. and then He says He will strengthen and help me. He will uphold my right hand. He says do not fear. and that’s definitely one thing i do. i fear. i fear of failure. of going nowhere. it haunts my heart just thinking about it. but God reminds me of these things and i am assured. He will help me with this issue. He will lead me into the right path.

but at the end of the day, no matter how many times i bicker about, i know, that He has a plan for me and will not fail to reveal it to me as long as i shut up and actually listen.
